High dynamic range imaging (HDRI) is a set of techniques that allows a greater dynamic range of exposures (the range of values between light and dark areas) than normal digital imaging techniques. The intention of HDRI is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to shadows. via Wikipedia

In other words, you can capture the best of all worlds in one single photo. I’ve seen these images before and have always wondered how the photographer was able to capture the details and colors of the clouds AND the skyline AND the flowers underneath the bridge all in one image. So it was great to know that they actually cheat. It’s quite easy to create these images and there’s a few online tutorials that have helped me get the hang of it quite fast.I’ve included some great examples below…And now, I’m psyched to try this myself. So stay tuned for some first attempts!
